This cheery pine-paneled family-style restaurant, also known as the Colony Kitchen, has been a fixture in this town 52 miles northeast of Anchorage since 1985. Its deep-fried halibut chunks ($16.95) are hefty and cylindrical-shaped and encased in a crunchy breaded crust that is perfectly deep-fried and non-greasy.
